John Bell
Co-founder
John is a neurobehavioral coach and executive leadership mentor with a gift for helping leaders unlock clarity, purpose, and peace. With a background in experimental psychology and decades of coaching experience, he blends neuroscience, strategic insight, and first-principles thinking to guide transformation from the inside out. Through Empowering Futures and the Q5 Experience, John has helped hundreds of leaders align identity, rewrite internal narratives, and prepare businesses to thrive beyond them. Known for his deep questions and grounded presence, John believes we are not defined by performance but by intrinsic worth. When he’s not coaching, he’s likely studying scripture, experimenting with AI as a mirror for truth, or cruising the lake on his pontoon boat with Aspen—the team’s Chief Morale Officer—riding shotgun.


Danette Bell
Co-founder
Danette is a Certified Kolbe™ Consultant and leadership alignment coach who brings clarity, calm, and order wherever she goes. With deep expertise in operational design and team dynamics, she helps leaders and organizations move from complexity to flow—guiding them to work in ways that feel both effective and life-giving. As a co-founder of The LifeMethod℠, she’s passionate about helping people recognize their instinctive strengths and use them to build cultures where collaboration thrives.
Whether coaching individuals through personal transition or helping teams align strategy with culture, Danette is known for her steady presence, systems-thinking mindset, and big heart. Outside of work, she loves time with family, exploring nature with Aspen the “Chief Morale Officer,” and creating spaces where people feel truly at home.
Tom Riley
Strategy Consultant and LifeMethod℠ Coach
Prior to becoming a LifeMethod℠ coach, Tom specialized in strategic relationship management in roles at Deloitte LLC and IBM Corp. He was an early adopter of the LifeMethod℠ and has applied its principles to his personal brand promise: to equip organizations to overachieve by bringing purpose and enrichment to their executive teams and employees. Tom graduated from Grove City College with a degree in Sociology and earned his MBA from Marshall University.

Strategic Assistant
Haley earned her Bachelor of Science in Behavioral Science and Creative Writing from Western Michigan University, blending a passion for human behavior with creative expression. Before joining Empowering Futures, she spent most of her career in the non-profit sector, driven by a commitment to helping others and understanding what motivates us. Today, she works as a Strategic Assistant, supporting both Empowering Futures and the Q5 team with a focus on thoughtful, efficient execution.
Aspen
Chief Morale Officer
With a tail that wags as reliably as a Kolbe 7 Quick Start, Aspen brings joy, grounding presence, and the occasional nudge for a break to the Empowering Futures office. Known for his ever-present smile and impeccable attendance, Aspen ensures that the team stays connected, relaxed, and occasionally covered in fur. He specializes in hallway greetings, emotional support, and leading midday walks with purpose and enthusiasm.
